PA Brewery Adventure

John and I were considering taking a day trip sometime during during the week of the Aug 18-22. Initially we were thinking of doing Troegs and Victory, but depending on how things work out we could probably check out more than two. Below is a list of some of the breweries in that area that we could visit and their details:

The main problem seems to be that no tours are done during the week. I will post more info soon.

Figured I would post the PA tour map that my sister created for me. It has a bunch of other breweries in the list I wouldalso like to see, but not sure we have time. The new ones are:

  • Bullfrog Brewery
  • Selinsgrove
  • One guy brewing
  • Sly fox
  • Iron hill brewery
  • Lancaster Brewing Co

Brewery tour would be fun. Can probably make any day, but preference would be for M,W,or F that week.

The only tour available at those 3 is on Friday at Victory at 4pm, which would be at the end of the day. We could probably do the tour and leave. Which would leave time for a Troegs shop visit. My sister planned a whole PA tour trip for me which is a bit excessive, but has some great ideas. I will add it to the main post since the comments section appears to not let me add links. May have to get the blogengine guys to fix the comments input, not sure I like it.

I've heard very positive opinions on the Iron Hill brewery from people who also enjoy the Victory product - and supposedly they have good food as well.

Thats funny, there is an iron hill in my home town of Media and I have never been there. I see it whenever I'm at my moms, but never go. It's a brew pub though, not really a craft brewery.

Friday would work, just have to talk to Dana about it. We should definately hit something for lunch and plan to end at victory for a beer or two and the tour at 4 pm.
