13th Brew - Hop Rye - March 19 2008

Wanted to let everyone know that next Saturday, March 29^th we will be brewing again. For this brew we will be using a new ingredient, Rye. Were trying to shoot for something like Bear Republics Hop Rod Rye, but as usual I plan to add my own little twist. The hop shortage is having an affect already because I can’t get the hops I want, but I’m sure we’ll manage fine with what I have.

There will be tons of beer here that I will need your help drinking. I find myself buying more all the time because I like to try new beers, but it adds up quick and I can only store so much. In addition, I recently made two trips for work to San Diego and Omaha. I was able to bring back a substantial amount of beer in my luggage. All of the beer is stuff that we can’t get on the east, so please come and help me try these new beers.

We plan to start at the usual time of 8 am. Brew should last till 3 or 4 pm depending on how things go.
